PRESENTATION OVERVIEW:
Are you thinking about Information Technology career advancement or taking a shot at a new career in IT? Perhaps you’re fed up working for people who don’t know how you do your job, or perhaps you’ve got that once in a lifetime technical job opportunity and don’t know your next step?
The subjects covered in this SPIN presentation include: “Career Checklists”, “Good Links”, “New Trends in Employment Relationships”, and “Self Assessment Questions”. A fully interactive discussion the merits of Technical Certification will accompany the presentation.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER:
Teri Eubanks holds a PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification from the Project Management Institute, a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Tyler, and has been directly involved in the Information Technology field for two decades as a systems development and business process analyst. She is employed with the Texas Guaranteed Student Loan Corporation as a Technical Project Manager within Application Development and Support, and her current projects involve managing the process reengineering and software replacement of financial systems. She is a board member of the Austin Software Process Improvement Network, a board member of the Microsoft Project Users Group of Austin, a member of the Project Management Institute of Austin, and a former member of the Technology and Standards subcommittee of the State of Texas’ Y2K initiative.

Austin Software Improvement Network (A-SPIN)
SPIN (Software Process Improvement Network) is a forum for the free and open exchange of software process improvement ideas and experiences. The organization serves as a source of educational, scientific and practical information for its members, other SPIN organizations and the general software community. The Austin SPIN is affiliated with the Software Engineering Institute at Carnegie Mellon University, the Austin Software Council, the Software Quality Institute and currently has sister SPINs in several cities across the U.S.
SPIN Meeting Times: Tuesday Evenings, 6:30-9:00 p.m.
Meeting Location: Dell Parmer Campus, Parmer South 1 Building
(SPIN meets the third Tuesday evening of each month (excluding the month of June).
