About Us

The Software Quality Institute(SQI) offers a forum for lifelong learning designed specifically for software professionals. SQI's mission is to inform and educate software producers and users at the local, state and global levels about issues vital to the production and application of high-quality software. With its focus on the high tech community in Austin and the surrounding areas, SQI strives to build value-added partnerships and remains committed to serving the educational needs of the software industry.

SQI specializes in practitioner-to-practitioner training, with an emphasis on hands-on practical workshops. Programs are designed for different organizational levels and offered publicly at the Commons Building on the J.J. Pickle Research Campus, privately as customized in-house programs and in the online learning environment.

Serving over 7000 professionals such as software engineers, developers and managers, SQI has developed a reputation in Austin and surrounding cities as a highly regarded source of quality continuing education. In keeping with the demand for distributed education and having the resources to apply emerging technologies, SQI has expanded its portfolio to include online offerings.
