GOLD Track: Making the Transition from Engineer to Manager

The IEMC 2007 GOLD (IEEE Graduates of the Last Decade) track is a forum for graduate students and young professionals to

  • interact with their peers,
  • publicize and exchange feedback on on-going thesis research,
  • discuss and debate industry practices,
  • meet and interact with established managers and researchers, who will participate in the track as panelists and organizers,
  • learn about management skills and techniques needed for a successful transition to engineering management, and
  • establish connections in the engineering management community and help shape its future.

This will be a one-day workshop organized so as to be highly interactive and allow opportunities for discussion.

The GOLD track organizing committee is seeking the submission of short papers describing ongoing research and industry practices in all areas of engineering management (for a list of topics, please refer to the IEMC 2007 call for papers). Authors are asked to submit their papers before the deadline on 21 May 2007, using the GOLD track 2007 format. To submit your paper follow the link to the GOLD Track paper submission. Submissions will be peer-reviewed, from which a number of papers will be selected for inclusion as posters in the GOLD track program. The GOLD track papers will appear in the IEMC 07 proceedings.

Please follow IEEE author instructions and style guide for papers.
