Gaylen D. Paulson, Ph.D.

Gaylen Paulson serves on the faculty of the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin. He received B.S. degrees in Communication and Educational Psychology at the University of Minnesota, and an M.S. and Ph.D. in Communication Studies at Northwestern University. His research and teaching focus on the strategic aspects of interacting with people, including negotiation, conflict management, and persuasion. He trains and consults widely in these areas. Dr. Paulson has published articles, case studies, and chapters in outlets such as the Journal of Applied Psychology, International Negotiation, The International Journal of Conflict Management, Communication Research, and The Handbook of Language and Social Psychology.
