Glen Edgerly

Glen Edgerly is currently an Emerson Process Management Vice President, Global Sales responsible for Learning and Development. He is responsible for providing skills and knowledge training for 3,543 field sales personnel worldwide that delivered 3.5 billion in sales during 2003.

After graduating from Lamar in 1969 he joined Xerox Corporation where he held various positions over a 7 year period. His first position was National Accounts Director for the NASA Space Center responsible for sales of over 1 million annually. He left Xerox and returned to Beaumont to join Fisher Controls as a Sales Engineer which provided process control technologies to local industry. In 1985 he left Fisher Controls and created his own company and partnered with Learning International as a master learning instructor. During his years with Learning International he contracted with many of the fortune 500 companies for the selection and delivery of account management and strategic selling programs. It was this experience that attracted Fisher Controls Corporate to rehire him as the first Global Account Director for Exxon Corporation. Shortly after returning to Fisher Controls Corporation, they were acquired by Emerson Electric. Since 1993 Glen has spent 8 of the last 15 years on international assignments, 1) Belgium, Account Director, Exxon International, 2) France, Director European Sales Fisher Controls, 3) Australia, Director Emerson Representative Sales Channel and 4) China, Director of Sales Fisher Valve Division. In his current position as Vice President, Global Sales he is able to leverage his global experiences to establish processes, programs and tools that improve sales performance.

As earlier stated Glen graduated from Lamar in 1969 with a BBA in Marketing and minor in Economics. Because Emerson is a technology company it required he obtain certification in instrumentation from Lamar Technology as well as memberships in various organizations such as the ISA, Instrumentation Society of America.
