David Chao David Chao is co-founder and Principal of SC Global Strategies (www.scglobalstrategies.com), a management consulting firm that builds global core software product teams and provides outsourced automated test, automated build, and platform support for intermediate to later stage start-ups. At SoftBrands, he served as Director of Development, leading a team of 30 located at 6 sites covering 4 continents that delivered fully regression-tested updates within 24 hours via automated testing. At Trilogy Development Group, he similarly built a global team of 20 to increase automated test coverage by 10x and reduce automated test time by 3x, with a 50% improvement in product margin. David received his Ph.D. in theoretical physics from the University of Texas at Austin, and published 23 research articles as a postdoctoral fellow at Michigan State University and the University of Illinois at Chicago.
