Stacey Berlow

Stacey Berlow, President and Founder – Stacey Berlow is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) with over 15 years of management experience. She has successfully directed large-scale, multinational, and offshore IT development projects with budgetary responsibility as high as $3 million. Her background includes insurance, healthcare, and manufacturing industries.

Ms. Berlow founded Project Balance in 2003 with the intent of utilizing her unique capability to help companies manage offshore development projects and remote project teams.

Prior to Project Balance, she was an IT consultant for MyDocOnline, Inc., a leading provider of innovative tools that enable online communication across the healthcare community. At MyDocOnline, Ms. Berlow formalized the strategy and managed the development of a software tool used to organize and display MyDocOnline’s third-party medical content using offshore and in-house IT resources. She lead MyDocOnline’s clinical team determine the specifications for a disease management software targeted for the patient, physician and HMO.

Previously, Ms. Berlow was with Gen Re, a leading global reinsurance company, where her most recent position was second vice president/technical manager of Global e-Practices. She was responsible for selecting, building, and managing offshore development teams including managing processes and infrastructure, facilitating communication, selecting hardware, and proactively addressing potential problems in the area of deployment. While with Gen Re, Ms. Berlow successfully executed multiple intranet, Internet, and extranet projects including enterprise content management, transactional applications, quality assurance, and project integration initiatives. Ms. Berlow has also held engineering positions with Fortune 100 companies including IBM and Pepperidge Farm, Inc.

Ms. Berlow holds a Master of Science degree in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from Columbia University, a Master of Science degree in Engineering from Cornell University, and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of British Columbia. She also serves on the AeA's Working Group on Offshore Outsourcing and has co-authored multiple articles on technology topics including semiconductor manufacturing and image processing.
