Duana C. Welch, Ph.D., Executive Director, BlabbermouthPR
Duana holds bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees in social/experimental psychology, including an emphasis on marketing and business psychology. Her years as a professor contribute immensely to assisting clients in formulating and executing an individualized, comprehensive, and empirically effective public relations campaign. Following seven years of graduate education at the University of Florida and a six-year professorship at California State University, Fullerton, Duana decided to return home to Texas to actualize her goal of implementing the business and social psychology she had taught and trained others in for more than a decade.
Duana is an expert communicator who was twice voted Professor of the Year due to her ability to successfully interface with and influence diverse audiences. Duana’s experiences that specifically address client needs include expert, audience-targeted communication of complex ideas; management of large research and writing teams; professional presentations for conference and lay audiences; authorship of dozens of technical and lay documents, publications, and grants; facile comprehension of diverse research and private-sector fields; and analytical, critical thinking, and statistical skills necessary for evaluating the effectiveness of media campaigns in today’s competitive environment.
Duana has owned her own business that applied social psychology to problems of everyday living, and her work with Blabbermouth is a natural extension of that endeavor. Duana has served on Cal State Fullerton’s Ethics, Research, Gerontology, Childcare, and Research boards as an elected member. She has been a member of the Society for the Teaching of Psychology, the American Psychological Association, the Chronicle for Higher Education, and the Gerontological Society of America.
