Jeff Smith

Jeff is a Senior Consultant at BearingPoint Austin, where he is actively engaged in Knowledge Management efforts, alongside his primary efforts in Release and Build Management for TexasOnline . His experiences include over 20 years of hardware and software development and consulting at Trilogy, Dell, IBM, Amdahl, LTV Aerospace & Defense, the Texas Attorney General's Office, and scattered smaller enterprises. Jeff is an advocate of streamlined system flow over plan-heavy approaches, compliance as a by-product, processes that fit people, leverage and simplicity in design, and enabling knowledge flow. Jeff has a BSEE from Texas A&M, did graduate work in Computer Science and Business Administration at UT Arlington and UT Dallas respectively, is active in over a dozen local professional groups, and serves as President of the Austin Software Process Improvement Network.
