Late applications will be considered only under unusual circumstances. Admission decisions are made as application files are completed. Early application is strongly encouraged. No decision to admit will be made until all required materials have been received.

Admissions decisions are made on the basis of a holistic review of all completed applications, including transcripts, GRE scores, letters of recommendation, statement of purpose, and industry experience

Applicant Requirements

All applicants

  • Hold a BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Natural Science, or related field.
  • Have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale in upper-division undergraduate and any graduate coursework.
  • Have a minimum of 18 months of industry experience.

International students only

  • Have a minimum total Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of 550 (paper test) or 213 (computer assisted test). Scores may not be over two years old per ETS records. (If you are an International student who graduated with a bachelor’s degree from a US accredited university, the TOEFL test score is not required).

Receiving notification of decision

The Engineering Master's Degree Programs utilizes a rolling admissions process. Applications are reviewed once complete. You will be notified by our office when your application is complete, and should receive a decision from the program admissions committee within 6-8 weeks from that date.
